About the Company
Stephen Cirell Consultancy Ltd was established in 2010 with the specific purpose of providing support to public sector bodies undertaking green energy projects.
The Consultancy works in public sector climate change, low carbon and renewable energy work. Its aim is to assist local authorities to meet the climate change targets, but also to develop programmes for action, bring forward projects and in so doing, make financial savings and generate income for public bodies.
It had been recognised that there was little assistance of this nature available, outside of the major big six consultancy companies.
Stephen Cirell is known as a national expert on public sector climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Starting his career as an in-house solicitor in Local Government, he went on to be a Partner with Eversheds and head up its local government services, was lead Director on climate change and renewable energy in Cornwall Council and then set up his own consultancy. He is one of the most experienced consultants on public sector green agenda work, and runs Stephen Cirell Consultancy Ltd as well as working with APSE Energy.
